Bike Austin Rides

With a growing number of Austinites now fully vaccinated, small group rides can be a great way to enjoy healthy outdoor activity. We expect all ride leaders and ride participants to follow the safety guidelines of the CDC and the latest rules from Austin Public Health.

Unless specified otherwise in the ride description, Bike Austin rides are “no drop” group rides led by a trained ride leader. Ride distance, pace and route are posted on the web site by the leader. Rides are rated with a number and a letter. The number refers to how hilly a ride is with 1 = relatively flat and 4 = very hilly. See the "Ride Rating Key" (to the right) for a brief explanation of the letter ratings or click here for a full description of our ride categories. Posted start times indicate when riders start riding so please be ready to roll 10 minutes before the posted time to allow time for the safety briefing. Rides may be canceled due to adverse weather conditions at the discretion of the ride leader: be sure to check the web site if in doubt. Helmets are mandatory on all Bike Austin rides.
