This is an urban ride that goes up through north central Austin, then crosses over Mopac to cruise through some neighborhoods on our way to the ups and downs around Balcones Country Club. The hills on this ride are not especially long or steep, but they are towards the end of the ride. There are opportunities to cut the ride short for those who prefer not to do the hills.
Average speed will be 13-15 mph, but the group may go faster on flat straightaways. This is a no drop ride and we will regroup at corners and hilltops as necessary.
Riders should bring helmets, a spare tube, and emergency identification. Please leave headphones, earbuds, and loudspeakers at home. Masks are not required, but are recommended for a store stop or in case of emergency.
Please arrive at least 10 minutes early for sign-in and route briefing. We will leave promptly at 7:30 o'clock. Parking is available north of 51st on Duval and on the side streets around Duval. Please don't park in the alley behind the Peddler.
