A NEW route from a NEW ride start location: City Hall in Taylor, Texas !!
NOTE: If coming from the south, a suggestion would be to drive up to Taylor on FM 973 to view the HUGE Samsung Plant's construction site ---it's getting BIGGER every time we go by it !!!
Ride start from City Hall, Taylor, Texas, (corner of E. 4th St. & Porter St): Starting out going North to Granger before turning east, south & west to return to the start location. We ride all the way around Granger Lake !
We'll be riding from Taylor, up to Granger: then east by the Granger Reservoir & across the Granger Dam Road before peddling thru Sandoval, & Thrall on our way back to Taylor.
A quiet scenic NEW route from Taylor's City Hall. Riding on some "vintage" Williamson County chip-seal roads; so air up your tires accordingly.
This will be a "B-/C+" no-drop ride. Please come expecting/capable to ride at a 15.0 - 16.5 mph pace for 54 miles.
Leaving promptly at 6:30 AM. (Maybe even "roll-out" at 6:28 !)
QUICK STORE STOPS: at 14 miles (Granger) & 42 miles (Thrall)
Just 1475 ft. of climbing, per RIDEwithGPS.
Helmets required on ALL our rides.
NOTE: Let's do Lunch after the ride at the Lucky Duck Cafe , (located across 4th St. from City Hall) ? It is The Good Luck Grills' sister eatery --- same menu !
Please check this sight on the ride morning, before you leave home, for any possible cancellation.
