Hunting for our Texas Spring time BlueBonnets {we saw them in 2023/2024, along this route} on a scenic, challenging country ride from The Manda Community Center ---
59 F at the start, sunny; with a light south southwest wind ---
NOTE I: No rest room facilities at the Manda Community Center [there is back side - west - of the Community Center for some ride start privacy !!]
We'll ride on some quiet country roads (some we've ridden before, but in a different direction). I'm trying to note that there are LOTS of "BAD/ROUGH" roads on this route: in the act/spirit of transparency ---- air up your tires accordingly -- there is no extra charge for all these bad roads ---i.e. PLEASE note: as always - you will be riding at your own risk !!
Just 1799 ft. of climbing---per RIDEwithGPS !
This is a "B-" paced "no-drop" ride. Please be able to maintain a 15.0 - 16.5 mph pace for 56 miles.
Leaving promptly at 8:00 AM. Maybe even "roll-out" at 7:58 !!
Two (2) STORE STOPS: at mile 24 (Thrall Food Mart) & at mile 46 (Citgo Station in Elgin)
NOTE II: Helmets are required on ALL rides.
Please check this sight before you leave home for any possible cancellation.
