Red Rock and Roll -- (CW) -Lockhart, TX.----EARLY START!!

A nice ride from Lockhart, Texas over some very scenic roads.

Join us for this ACA classic route in the relatively flat expanses of Central Texas. We'll travel on some quiet country roads (some are "vintage" chip seal and a little bumpy---air up your ties accordingly!) doing a steady "B" paced (14-17 mph) no-drop ride, with re-grouping as needed at the next turn. 
With the forecasted mild early spring weather, we can choose from (or stop at both) 2 store stops: in Rockne at 22 miles and/or in McMahan at 37 miles. Total climbing is under 1750 ft. (per RIDEwithGPS)

NOTE II: Helmets are required on ALL Bike Austin rides.

NOTE III:  Jeff is, once again, offering to write you an "excused absence" note if you should need one !!!!

Come with you & your equipment ready to ride 56 miles, in time to get signed-in and participate in the starter's meeting at 6:45 AM, for a prompt roll-out at 7:00 AM. Let's all hope for good riding weather!

For all those interested (all are invited -- crowds permitting), we'll do lunch after the ride at Black's BBQ in Lockhart. 

Meet at the Lockhart City Park at the corner of Flores St. (FM 672) & Carver St.  Just east of the Plum Creek Elementarty School (ride start map location attached).  Rest Rooms are NOT available at this location.
