The weather forecast is HOT/HUMID and windy (south wind up to 13 MPH) thus the EARLY 6:30 AM START and the mostly easr/west route. We are definitely in a "BEAT-the-HEAT" ride start mode now !!!!!
NOTE: Fritz Park is CLOSED. We'll start from the public parking lot across the street (south) from the park entrance -- west of the football field.
Riding from Hutto { at 400 Park Ave}: We'll start out on a mostly rural north & east route, before turning south & west to return thru Taylor.
A quiet scenic "half- century+" ride from Hutto's 400 Park Ave. . Riding on some "vintage" Williamson County chip-seal roads; so air up your tires accordingly.
This will be a "B-/C+" no-drop ride. Please come expecting/capable to ride at a 15.0 - 16.5 mph pace for 52 miles.
Leaving promptly at 6:30 AM. (Maybe even "roll-out" at 6:28 !)
2 STORE STOPS: at 19 miles (Circleville Exxon) & at 36 miles (Shell Station on W Lake St across from Murphy Lake)
Just 1271 ft. of climbing, per RIDEwithGPS.
Helmets required on ALL our rides.
Let's do a GROUP lunch, in Hutto, after the ride (Julio's or the NEW Chuy's??)
Please check this sight on the ride morning, before you leave home, for any possible cancellation.
