Description
Chartered in 1981 by a small group of local cyclists, the Violet Crown Sports Association (VCSA) is the oldest continuously active racing and riding club in town. We have over 100 active, dues-paying members, and while many of us still race regularly, many of the members have retired from racing and now ride recreationally. We count among our ranks many present and former state champions, and some of our former junior members have gone on to race on national development teams and moved into the pro ranks, including Kristian House, the 2009 British National Road Race Champion. But the main thing we all have in common is that we all love to ride, talk about, work on, and admire bikes. Come join us.

Group Rides
The Bagel Ride has been around since 1992 and is open to all riders that love riding their bicycles. The ride was formally known as Bill & Ted's Excellent Adventure with Bill Ream's ... moreassistance. Bill passed away March 2014 but the ride continues in his honor.

There are two groups, both of which roll out together, and then split at the store stop. Short ride is usually 50-60 miles, long ride 70-85 miles. This can be a competitive ride, but tends to stay at a steady tempo, without lots of surges. One of the best group rides in town! Led by Matt, the Bagelmeister.
